Venting, Not to happy right now.

Well Edwin had another VA appointment in Albuq. yesterday, we went up the night before beens his appointment was early in the morning. Well All I can say was it was a wasted trip, They had edwin and I thinking that something was finally going to be done for him. Even the ostomay nurse, was upset the last time we was there cause Edwin a veteran had fallen in the cracks of the system. Well we get to his appointment, they call him in to check his vitals and they don't even weigh him. Edwin asked are'nt you going to weigh me and the nurse said NO, and edwin told her that they told him the last time he was here that he was suppose to start loosing weight, and she still said NO don't need to weigh you. (and what ticks me off about that is edwin has been trying so hard to loose weight and has done a pretty good job at it, you can see the weight lose on him.) Then we wait about 30 min before getting called back to a room, and the guy says the doctor will be in shortly to see you, so we wait another 15 min, and a guy comes in (not a doctor) askes edwin how are you feeling, edwin said I guess ok, and edwin told him that the ostomay nurse was wanting to see him again, while he was here for his appointment, cause she was suppose to have ordered him another hernia belt for him, and so this guy calls her and she don't recall edwin at all, but said she would check into it. And so we wait some more. And the guy comes back in and said ok you can go the doctor don't need to see you. And if you don't receive your hernia belt in 2 weeks call us my name is Mel. (edwin told them that he was there cause he was suppose to be loosing weight for surgery, and he still got the same answer nope doctor don't need to see you.) And edwin wasn't even given a follow up appointment. So it looks like he is going to be a vet that falls in the cracks again.

And to top it all off my Husbands credibility as a mechanic was questioned, not even going to touch on that one, cause to me it is just petty, cause anyone that knows him if it is broke he can usually fix it, Edwin was a mechanic in the Navy, and he even did mechanic jobs after he got out of the Navy, And when he joined the army they would always send edwin to the classes to learn how to run and fix all the equipment cause of how fast he catches on to things,
Even my own fathers credibility was questioned, that one makes me laugh also, My father has always been able to fix anything, he even served a mission for the church to fix all of the missionary cars, And one thing my father taught all of us kids, and if you didn't do these few things you heard about it.
1. Check the oil, make sure there is always oil, and that it don't exceed the line on the dip stick. Always change your oil every three thousand miles.
2. Always check the fluids in your car, brake, antifreeze, power steering fluid ect.
if you don't bad things will happen to you car,
3. Keep your tires at there proper weight.

Those are just a few, but important things he taught us to do, on our own, we did not have to take it in and have someone else do it for us.
And edwin taught his girls to do the same, except amanda she can do some of the things like the tires, but we did not get a chance to teach her the other things cause the first car she owned was when she was married the first time.
So now that is on my to do list. Cause now they are down to one car, we all are. Edwin just has not had a moment to his self to fix anything just yet.
But he can and he will.
